The plan developed by MSI Design addresses the design, implementation and maintenance of complete “Landscape Systems” for the campus including plantings, drainage, hardscape, furnishings, lighting, irrigation and signature elements in the campus. The plan documents, assesses and recommends campus-wide landscape solutions and provides guidance for designated “project areas” around campus. It also includes an analysis of existing campus organization as a whole, and evaluates the “campus spaces” based upon the size, function, location and character of each. The recommended projects were then prioritized according to funding requirements to create a specific plan of action for the University to realize the Landscape Master Plan. The Landscape Master Plan provides the University with recommended projects to implement and a strategy to realize the overall master plan design, bringing about a campus that is a more unified and pleasing place for students, faculty and visitors.
