The 650-room Hard Rock Hotel, located in the Universal Studios resort area in Orlando, Florida, combines classic Mediterranean elegance with overtones of Rock n’ Roll to create a living version of the “Hotel California.” The Rock n’ Roll/California atmosphere is projected through many of the site elements, including guitar sculptures and fountains, “edgy” tile and pavement graphic patterns, a zero-entry Beach Pool and water-themed fountain features. MSI provided full design services for the project, from site planning through construction observation. The hotel opened to guests in January 2001.
