The Hollywood Hotel at Hong Kong is an Art Deco-inspired hotel located adjacent to the Hong Kong theme park overlooking Penny’s Bay. Designed by the internationally-renowned architectural firm Architectonica, the 400-room waterfront hotel features a promenade along Penny’s Bay. The site design is formed according to the Art Deco theme and also includes several Hollywood-inspired design solutions: a piano-shaped lagoon pool with water slide, a “Hollywood Bowl” amphitheater area, a “movie film” garden promenade, the “stars” outdoor seating area, and a “Hollywood Hills” sign feature with a seating area overlook. Located in the tropics, the landscape features many exotic specimen plant materials collected from as far away as Australia, including royal palms and flowering trees to compliment the architecture. MSI Design provided site hardscape and landscape schematic design and construction documents based on original design plans by BCA Landscape Architects.
