The Gathering Place is a caring community that supports, educates and empowers individuals and families touched by cancer through programs provided free of charge. Driven by this commitment is the creation of a healing garden to enable visitors of The Gathering Place to connect with nature, as a place of peace, retreat, joy, and laughter. Located in a commercial park on 1/3 of an acre, the garden is an oasis of more than 123 species of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and bulbs. Specifically designed to stimulate the senses, the garden includes elements of running water, rare textured plants, vibrant colorful flowers, scented blooming bulbs and herbs, and edible flowers and vegetables.
