As part of North Bank Park, MSI designed the first interactive fountain in downtown Columbus. The park is located along the downtown riverfront and attracts visitors from throughout the region. This kid-safe fountain is located on the upper park plaza adjacent to the event pavilion and is available for families to enjoy throughout much of the year. Whether visiting the park as part of a larger event, or making a special trip, it is common to see a row of strollers pulled up on the plaza during a hot summer day. In this open plaza, parents can keep close tabs on the kids while enjoying a view of the riverfront and downtown. There were significant technical issues in designing the fountain including its location on the roof-top plaza and wind considerations along the riverfront. In the end, the North Bank Fountain has been a key element in the success of the park and attracts the vitality of youthful laughter to downtown throughout the summer.
