The Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Spa Sarasota overlooks Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico beaches in downtown Sarasota, Florida. The 240-room hotel is comprised of nine levels of hotel suites and an additional 50 condominiums units on the upper nine levels of the 5-star hotel. The hotel site features a formal piazza arrival area complete with dolphin fountains, a pool and a spa overlooking beautiful Sarasota Bay. Included in the hotel and spa is an outdoor café with bay-side seating and a formal rose garden and lawn area with brick paving salvaged from the historic 1930’s Ritz Carlton Hotel that was built on adjacent Longboat Key.
Additionally, the spa features an outdoor garden area that also overlooks the bay. The planned hotel marina will provide guests with boat service to the Ritz-Carlton Beach Club located on Lido Beach. MSI provided complete design services for the project, from initial site planning through construction documents and construction administration.
