The Center Study explores the City of Springfield’s urban core redevelopment potential. MSI developed the current plan for re-energizing downtown, including ideas to promote growth and prosperity in the city core. Converting parking areas into a central green that connects a civic area in the south with a park trail system and Wittenberg University in the north is one of the main concepts. Opportunities have also been identified for public, as well as private, redevelopment partnerships.
